On February 1, Governor Rick Scott met with the Seminole Tribe of Florida to discuss the economic impact and job growth opportunities the gaming compact will have on Florida. Governor Scott signed the compact with the Seminole Tribe of Florida in December and it is pending approval by the Florida Legislature.
The Tribe also unveiled for the first time, details of a $1.8 billion expansion program including an 800-room guitar-shapes hotel and several new restaurants and amenities to be built at the Seminole Hard Rock complex in Hollywood.
The $1.8 billion investment will be made possible by a new gaming compact by the Florida Legislature. The compact will also preserve 3,700 jobs.
