We’ll be honoring veterans on Monday, Nov. 12, 2018 with a free performance by the nationally acclaimed “singing artist” Joe Everson, as he creates two patriotic-themed paintings in front of a live audience while singing “God Bless the U.S.A.” and “The Star Spangled Banner.” The first painting of “Lady Liberty” will be accompanied by the popular song “God Bless the U.S.A.” and the second painting, “Raising the Flag,” a re-creation of the iconic photograph from Iwo Jima in World War II, will be created while Everson sings the national anthem, “The Star Spangled Banner.”
The performance will take place between the hours of 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. at L Bar near the main entrance of the casino. Veterans with a valid military or veterans I.D. will also receive special giveaways and free slot play.
The paintings will be presented to Seminole Tribe of Florida President Mitchell Cypress, a U.S. Army veteran, who will accept the paintings on behalf of all Florida Seminole Tribal veterans. Cypress is President of the Tribal Board of Directors which manages the non-gaming business interests of the Tribe.
